The Alamosa School District is seeking bids from Qualified Environmental Hygienists for an approximate 50,000 sq. ft. Asbestos Abatement Project at Ortega Middle School located at 401 Victoria St., Alamosa. Colorado.

The MANDATORY PRE-BID meeting will be held at 10 am, May 23rd, 2022 at the Alamosa School District Administration Office, 209 Victoria Avenue, Alamosa, Colorado 81101.

The following requirements will be discussed:

Project is a Two-Phase project split between 2022 & 2023

Certificates of Insurance Auto, Liability, Umbrella policies Requied

Worker’s Compensation Insurance Required

OSHA Citation Details if cited in the past (3) years

Any Colorado State Asbestos Violations past (3) years

Applicable License(s) for State(s) in which they work

Bid Bonds are Required

Payment and Performance Bonds are Required

Statement of Financial Condition

Written minimum (2) year warranty on all work Required

Background Checks for any and all On-Site Workers Required

No Smoking, Alcohol, Illegal Drugs, Firearms or Foul Language Allowed on School Property

Davis-Bacon Wages and Reporting Required

Ability to MEET Project deadlines (Start work May 31, 2022)

Project timeline 25 days to final clearance

Due to supply chain concerns and our need to begin construction this summer, Bids will be due

May 27th, 2022 by 4pm. NO LATE bids will be opened!

All BIDDING DOCUMENTS will be distributed at the MANDATORY PRE-BID meeting ONLY.

PUBLIC BID OPENING:  Friday, May 27th, 2022 will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Alamosa School District Administration Office, 209 Victoria Ave., Alamosa, Colorado 81101.

All bids are subject to Alamosa School District BOE policies. The BOE reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept that bid which appears to be in the best interest of the District. These policies will be distributed at the PRE-BID meeting.
